Happy New Year's Eve

Tonight we are heading to one of Tommy's customers for seafood lasgna and games. It should be pretty fun. I doubt we will make it to the new year, but we will try. The kids are going too. They are pumped!!

Holiday Happenings

People have gone crazy with questions about their 2006 taxes. Why do people wait until the middle of December to worry when they have had all year to think about it? It is kind of fun. The phone has rang off the hook for 2 days. I have had a ton of bookkeeping to do. It is so great that God has blessed me with this business. He is awesome.

Today is Macy's last day of school. She was in such a good mood this morning. She is really growing up. We had a 15 minute phone conversation yesterday. It wasn't like I was talking to a 6 year old child. She is not my little Macy Girl anymore. She is the Student of the Month for December. I am so proud of her. There are only 10 students a year that get this award. There are 19 kids in her class. She was very excited. She told me to make sure to read the paper and cut out her picture. What a nut??

Tonight is our Bunco Christmas get together. I am so excited. It is so much fun. I know that I talk about it all the time, but if you ever play you will understand. It is so much fun. It is more fun when you win. Tonight is the night, I feel as if the dice will be in my favor tonight.

This is a crazy week for us. We have something to do every night. I had to work late last night. I didn't get home until almost 8. Tonight is Bunco. Wednesday is church. Thursday we are going to eat and play poker with some friends of ours. Friday is the Rose Christmas. Saturday is the my family's Christmas. Sunday is church and that night is my husbands family Christmas (and don't forget about Santa). Monday is Christmas Day, with breakfast for the grandparents at our house. Tuesday Tommy and I are going to Tunica for a little R & R, with no children. Those are our plans for the next week.

Take care and talk to you soon!

Absent

Did you ever go to school with someone who when the teacher called the roll, would say present instead of here? That was the person I always wanted to smack. I don't know where that thought came from, I guess from being absent. I'm so sorry for being absent for the last few days. I don't know what has happened. I will try to get everyone caught up.

My trip to Lexington was interesting. I am going to have to get braces again in May. I had braces 20 years ago, boy that should be fun. I need to realign my jaw so the disc that cushions the joint will go back into the right spot and not pop (click)when I open or close my mouth. It is wearing braces for a while or wearing a night guard during the day for the rest of my life. The braces won't be too bad. I did at least find and shop at a Target while in Lexington. I love Target. I wish we had one closer.

Last Monday and Tuesday I attended the UK Tax Seminar. That was 2 wasted days. It was extremely boring, but it is nice to learn all of the tax changes for the upcoming tax season. It was boring, but entertaining. I have two funny things that happened. The first day I sat by two people I did not know. One was a nice man from Paducah and the other a strange woman. As we started the first morning, about 5 minutes into the first speaker...I hear snoring. Loud snoring. You can't help but look when you hear snoring that loud. It was the woman next to me. The really funny thing was, she was not asleep. Her eyes were open. She just had a breathing problem. She did it all day. About drove me over the edge. Then there was this man in the row in front of me. He was looking through a big stack of resumes. I guess he was trying to decide who to hire for tax season help. He smelled the resumes. I don't know if he was a pervert or if he was sniffing out smokers. I don't know, but it was funny.

Wednesday, Bailey and I worked at the office. I've got a little estate to work on. Estates are nice. It is pretty easy work and I make 1.5% of the total estate. So even when it is a fairly small estate, I can still make a chunk of change.

Thursday and Friday I cleaned house and caught up the laundry. Friday night we went our to eat with Todd and Jodie. That was nice to see them and get caught up. Saturday, was a party day. Macy had a rollerskating birthday party to attend. It was fun. Then I had a Christmas get together with my high school friends. My friends aren't in high school, but we went to high school together and are still friends. We had a great time. We sat and told stories from our past. Man, have we had some fun. We did do a little man bashing and our visits always include some sex talk. Who's getting it, who's not, who wants to, who doesn't. We had a really good time.

Today was church. We are watching a really funny video in Sunday School. I am enjoying it. Then I had a real nice nap on the couch. I did a little TV watching. I have always loved The Learning Channel or the Discovery Health Channel. I love the real life surgeries, E.R. traumas, etc. They never gross me out. Today Dr. 90210 was on. I love to see the before and after pictures of plastic surgery patients. Today I got grossed out. They were doing a nose job and had to break some bones in this womans nose. I couldn't watch. I guess I am not as tough as I used to be.

Everyone, have a good week and I will bog more often.
